Create patterns across our menswear and womenswear collections.
Ensure all patterns are cohesive and follow the Our Legacy standards.
Work with the design team, product team and manage the atelier throughout development and production to produce garments of high quality with efficiency and speed.
Participate in fit sessions with fit models; identify and solve any fit/balance problems with the garment. Assure the highest quality of product by doing proactive work in fittings, provide proactive and focused input to ensure further production processes run smoothly.
Issue patterns, samples, finish measurements and construction details.
Organize pattern and sample flow from and to atelier and other sample ateliers.
Ensure a satisfying grading and fit in all sizes.
Be aware of fabrications for each style and finishes relevant to fabric groups.
Work closely with design team to work on initial ideas and creative solutions to finishes.
Organize and manage the atelier, interns and external pattern makers in line with collection schedules.
Manage the external pattern makers and booking of extra capacity within given budget.
Other projects and/or duties as needed.
Experience in both menswear and womenswear pattern making.
To have an excellent knowledge of garment construction and manufacturing methods.
Experienced in working with all types of product categories.
To have a good understanding of sizing and fitting.
To have a basic knowledge of grading.
To have a logical and pro-active approach to problem solving.
Experience in technical fit meetings.
Use of technical English is requested.
A careful eye for detail in design.
Strong multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
Experience with Gerber Accumark system.
Minimum 4 years working experience making sampling and production patterns in contemporary fashion.
Collaborative work style, with excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
Team player and able to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure deadlines are met.
Solid knowledge of garment construction based on fabric, how fabric behavior affects overall garment fit and appearance
Clear and professional in communication with colleagues and factories (comments in m-list, on pattern, on garments).
Well working time management skills and being able to prioritize between the different collections running at the same time.
